Warner Edwards Honeybee Gin, the latest limited edition from craft distilling stalwarts, husband and wife team Tom and Tina Warner, has been launched exclusively through Craft Gin Club as the club’s June Gin of the Month.

Craft Gin Club members are the first in the world to try this beautiful new gin, and they have greeted it with rapturous response (see social media comments below). The limited edition has also proved to be the club’s biggest seller to date, with the exclusive first batch now completely sold out.The good news for gin fans is that Warner Edwards plans further roll-out from September.

Inspired by the plight of bees across the UK and the world – which are suffering depopulation due to the use of new pesticides that prevent wildflower growth – this gin is the latest in the Warner Edwards Limited Edition Botanical Garden Range. Its unique botanical blend includes responsibly-sourced honey, grapefruit peel and chamomile. In all, almost 30 botanicals go into this amazing blend, including one top-secret ingredient.

Tom Warner, co-founder of  Warner Edwards, says:

There are a lot of gins where people are trying to make statements, and they become a palate killer. Honeybee Gin is quite a big gin in terms of its citrus and floral notes, but we distilled it very slowly. That makes it fresh and drinkable — a zippy, light gin that’s a strong favourite for us over the summer.

Also in their June Gin Box, Craft Gin Club members will discover a miniature of Warner Edwards Elderflower Gin, Franklin & Sons Sicilian Lemon Tonic and a bag of Burts Chips Firecracker Lobster crisps. For a sweet treat, they can tuck into a Mighty Fine Dark Chocolate and Honeycomb bar. Made using real honey, these bars also do good for bees: a percentage of Mighty Fine’s profits go to bee charities.

John Burke, commercial director and co-founder of Craft Gin Club, says:

Warner Edwards was one of the first distillers we worked with when we started Craft Gin Club, and it’s great to be working with Tom and Tina again. Their new gin is the spirit of the summer — and we thrilled our members have been the first to try it!

Jon Hulme, managing director and co-founder of the Craft Gin Club, added:

This is a beautiful gin in a beautiful golden bottle, and our members are already falling in love with it. We’re sure they’ll be sipping it all summer long – we certainly will!
